What Is Adventure Therapy?
If we talk about adventure therapy, it comes in many forms. But in general, adventure therapy is the integration of fun activities, including group outings and outdoor excursions, to help ease the therapeutic process through real-life, supportive situations.
The benefits of experiential and adventure therapy include prospects for personal development through interpersonal and communication skills, confidence-building, self-reflection, teamwork, and more.
What Kind Of Adventures And Activities Do We Offer?
At Synchronic Redevelopment, we take our clients on a weekly hike to mountains, waterfalls, etc. In addition, we are continuously designing more and more dynamic and exciting activities for our clients so that they can participate in these activities every week.
Some recent activities and adventures are included white water rafting, golfing, snowboarding, skiing, visiting water parks, boat rides, mural painting, paintballing, and hot air balloon rides. These experiences help our clients discover new interests while expanding their perspectives and life experience, all in a safe, supportive environment.
In addition, to further integrate the experiences into all they are learning in our addiction treatment programs, these outings are often complemented by group processing and reflection exercises facilitated by our highly-trained therapeutic team.
